Godzilla Head
The Godzilla Head (ゴジラヘッド) is one of Tokyo's most famous pop culture landmarks. Located atop the Hotel Gracery Shinjuku in the heart of Kabukicho, the enormous life-sized replica of Godzilla appears to emerge from the rooftop, towering above the surrounding streets.
Standing approximately 12 metres tall, the Godzilla Head has become a must-see attraction for fans of Japanese cinema and visitors exploring the vibrant entertainment district of Shinjuku.

Overview
Installed in 2015 to celebrate the opening of Hotel Gracery Shinjuku, the Godzilla Head pays tribute to Japan's most famous movie monster.
The head is modelled after the creature's appearance in the 1992 film Godzilla vs. Mothra and features realistic detailing including scales, teeth and glowing eyes.
At regular intervals throughout the day and evening, the Godzilla Head comes to life with:
- Roaring sound effects
- Illuminated eyes
- Smoke effects
- Head movements (during selected shows)
The display has become one of the most photographed attractions in Shinjuku.
